Environmental Policy

At Plymouth Waste Removals, we believe that responsible waste disposal is not optional — it's essential. Every load we collect is handled with the environment in mind, and we are committed to minimising the impact of waste on our local community and the planet.

Our Commitments

90%+ Recycling Rate

Over 90% of the waste we collect is recycled or repurposed. We sort every load at licensed facilities to maximise recovery and minimise landfill.

Charity Donations

Reusable furniture, clothing, and household items are donated to local Plymouth charities wherever possible, giving them a second life.

Green Waste Composting

All garden waste and green waste is taken to licensed composting facilities in the Plymouth area, returning nutrients to the earth.

WEEE Compliance

Electrical appliances are recycled in full compliance with WEEE regulations. Refrigerant gases are safely extracted and all components responsibly processed.

Licensed and Regulated

Plymouth Waste Removals is fully registered with the Environment Agency as an authorised waste carrier. All waste we collect is transported to licensed recycling centres, transfer stations, and composting facilities in the Plymouth area. We maintain full compliance with UK waste management regulations at all times.

Reducing Landfill

We actively work to divert waste from landfill. By sorting every load and separating recyclable materials — including metals, timber, plastics, textiles, and green waste — we achieve a recycling rate of over 90%. Items that are still in good condition are donated to local charities rather than being disposed of.

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continually improving our environmental performance. This includes:

  • Regularly reviewing our waste disposal processes and recycling partners
  • Training our team on environmental best practices
  • Investing in efficient vehicles to reduce emissions
  • Working with customers to reduce unnecessary waste at source
  • Supporting local environmental initiatives in the Plymouth area

Your Role

By choosing Plymouth Waste Removals, you're making an environmentally responsible choice. You can trust that your waste will be handled properly, recycled wherever possible, and kept out of landfill. If you have any questions about how we dispose of specific materials, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
